*THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT THAT HAS COME IN DURING THIS TIME.* We made it to the one goal - that is exciting, and so helpful. We are still reaching out to get all the way to the goal listed. Care, treatments, and more are needed.Right now is a crucial time - money raised is going into critical care to treat Jeanette's condition...and the Doctor and Nurses are seeing signs of improvement, which is excellent. Yet, there is a way to go. Jeanette can feel a difference and this gives her hope. As her care was coming along, she experienced some set backs with the body being able to handle the treatments. After assessing options and being given recommendations from others with even more experience, Jeanette switched part of her team, in order to get the better care. From this, there is added cost, yet, the benefits are already visible. So, for this, we are most grateful! And yes, we are asking for help in any way now, so she can get through the next level of treatments. Jeanette's health was definitely - unfortunately, despite protections and safe protocols, Jeanette wound up with Covid in April... that took a toll. She is recovering, but it is frustrating to have set backs.
*On the upside, Jeanette has begun to do more classes with her Herbalism training, and has had some amazing new clients benefit from her help. Jeanette has also become the facilitator for a Lyme Support group with over 2000 members and is using her days of strength to inform, educate and advocate, so others do not have to struggle like this. There truly is something awry with the systems of diagnosis, care, insurance, and supports. Changes are needed!
(Some background - Many of you do not know, but there were some very scary moments during the height of the COVID crisis during the past 2 years, where medical care was needed, but even the hospital was afraid to take her with the underlying active condition affecting her. They were concerned she would get COVID and not survive. But this also meant, some of what medical professionals were supposed to be doing from February 2020 onward could not happen, and with her insurance there were issues with telemedicine. So tests needed, stopped. Follow up care stopped. There was challenge over a much needed prescription for her lungs, and more. Now, given we do holistic work, we followed a holistic, quarantine protocol exploring options to improve her health. As it would turn out, the IV treatments were a life saver, along with her buying her own oxygen machine, and doing other things. Waiting for COVID restrictions to lessen to get more care was harrowing. In the groups Jeanette belongs to, she sees many who did not survive the lack of care, which is so sad.)
Please continue to pray, send well wishes, and connect...it makes a difference to feel those connections.

Jeanette has been an angel to many, and could certainly use a team of earth angels to help at this time.
*Much love & gratitude, Robin

Our Golden Light medicine woman could use some help with her serious medical plight.
Jeanette didn’t see any of this mysterious ravaging condition coming, as she fights to heal and regain her life. She has had a tough medical history with severe food allergies, asthma, GI issues, ADHD, concussions from gymnastics and cheerleading, Lyme disease, and more, but she came into a place of feeling healthy and balanced, excited for trainings in yoga, herbalism and holistic healing methods. Jeanette was growing her client practice which was gaining in popularity quickly, but an unfortunate day changed things for the worse.
Bitten by a tick in April of 2019, it rapidly triggered the chronic Lyme she had recovered from after being bitten a couple times and injured/infected while Nannying in New Jersey in 2017. Worse than that, it carried a tick borne meningitis, which placed Jeanette in the ER, and then required her to be admitted to the hospital in May 2019. The doctors insisted on a lumbar puncture to "accurately diagnose" her condition, but wound up creating a new problem. The spinal tap removed too much fluid and didn't seal properly, allowing pathogens to enter beyond what she was already dealing with. She came home, not knowing the injury that had now occurred, and rapidly worsened, having to be readmitted to the ER and was in critical condition in the ICU. Her allergy to all antibiotics made it difficult for them to treat from that aspect, but there were additional errors that made Jeanette even weaker. She remembers well the day she felt as if her body just "broke" - she felt this sense of "that's it, that's enough." She did recover and come home... but... something never quite felt right.
Reactivated Lyme, with more than 6 strains, all with coinfections, and the meningitis made things in her body go out of control and deteriorate. At the same time, and due to the weakness, prior issues with Bronchiectasis, Severe Asthma, Anemia, Gastroparesis flared up, along with causing constant recurrent infections, Osteopenia, Leukopenia/Neutropenia issues, constant Hypoxia and Hypoxemia issues, Arrhythmias, Palpitations, Severe Hypotension, Cell Dehydration, Mitochondrial Disease to Apoptosis/Cachexia. A bizarre cascade wreaking havoc on her body; tormenting her peace of mind; and challenging her otherwise joyful spirit.
By late summer, she was experiencing unexplained weight loss. 14 lbs in 4 weeks, and then more. She had new insurance from Medical Assistance but could not find an appointment to address concerns. Even the hospital did not address her questions. Finally, a new primary doctor looked at the situation, but decided this was more in line with a behavioral disorder, than a medical condition, despite the records from the hospital. The continued misdiagnosis contributed to a deteriorated state as time kept lapsing as she were fighting to be heard and get tests. The insurance rejected some of what she needed. It has been a struggle, and then COVID hit, and much of what she needed from testing, to follow up, to hospital care, could not occur. These months from April 2020 onward had many scary moments, as going to the hospital was not something anyone felt she could handle, given the virus. Jeanette, literally, felt trapped by her body and every system that affects her.
Having to eat, walk, and do everything with caution, getting weak and fatigued very easily, to extreme difficulty catching her breath, to limited walking of certain distances without passing out, are so difficult for any of us to observe, let alone for her to experience. With her conditions, she constantly has deep penetrating pains to the bone. At this state, all her organs are being affected and beginning to fail. Again, all this, she did not see coming, and makes it hard to see everyday because of how bright her spirit is.
The rigorous holistic health protocols we have been using and following are what has kept her going. However, this fight and focus then takes away time from the life she would much rather be living with her yoga, botanical creations, studies, enjoyment in Nature, loved ones, and much more.
“ I look back to a few years ago when I was stronger & with more energy. It has been hard to adjust and accept everything going on. I put on a smile and carry on, but truthfully, some days I just want to scream, cry and have it just stop. It’s frustrating and heart breaking to have my health suffer, while my spirit soars over all the things I love that I’m doing. I long for the days when I can get up and have all the energy and strength, so that I can truly feel good and do the good work I am passionate about," Jeanette shared with us recently.
When it comes to Chronic Lyme, and certain other autoimmune diseases, which can develop into other serious health problems, it becomes a confusing, tangled web for the medical mainstream. Then being under Medicaid, makes it even harder to get the right quality care. Frustrating longer wait statuses, rejected tests, rejected services, limited access to care, very limited doctors who truly understand the insidiousness of this disease, the sense of being dismissed because of the insurance, and more, lead the body into a more critical state, and treatments become even harder. More frustration over earlier issues with limited safeguards in employment, creating financial problems with being underpaid, no insurance, no workmen's compensation or unemployment compensation, led to unpaid bills and an increasing burden of debt. Moving to PA improved a few things, but the daunting cycles mounted as these health issues of this last year dug in and multiplied all matters. Much of this depletes her energy... yet, she persists, rises up, pushes through and finds great joy in her creations and sessions with clients, who truly appreciate her moving through the darkness to share the Golden Light essence.
Over these past few months of Coronavirus, she kept researching ways to address her issues, even as her own doctors seemed to withdraw and dismiss. Gratefully, she has finally found practitioners who work with severe cases related to Chronic Lyme, Autoimmune, and complicated medical issues.
However, much of what "works" is not covered by her insurance, and most of the money she can make goes to her already stretched daily care. In light of how critical her health has become, it requires intensive treatments to help save her life.
We are asking family and friends, near and far, and anyone else moved by the her story, to please help Jeanette with a donation to ease her situation, inspire her to keep going, and get the treatments and services that can help her survive this critical time and be restored to good health.
Thank you for your help!!!! The world needs persons like Jeanette to share her Love and Light. We appreciate you sharing your love and compassion, so she can continue to create, serve, and shine bright.
