Help Heal Holly

Holly is soon to be turning 21 years old, and where most girls are planning a night out with friends to celebrate this huge milestone, Holly is battling brain cancer. She was diagnosed with this petrifying news back in August, just after giving birth to her and Troy's gorgeous baby girl Nora Rose on July 26, 2017. Holly's pregnancy was anything but simple. She suffered with INTENSE migraines, vomiting, and cranial pressure through the last two months following birth. Holly even started to have double vision, then she finally knew something was wrong, and headed to the eye doctor where he sent her straight to the hospital to have Nora delivered. Nora was delivered 2 ½ weeks early due to these difficult and confusing symptoms. Holly stayed weeks at Miami Valley Hospital while doctors searched and searched for answers. Holly also had to be away from her newborn baby during this stay. At first, many doctors thought these issues were due to some sort of infection as evidence pointed towards that. After many, many tests and blood samples showed nothing, they then proceeded to do a brain biopsy where they discovered nodules (or cancer spots) Yes, imagine being 20 years old facing cancer for the second time. (Holly also faced cancer when she was 16, which was on her spine, generating loss in function/feeling below the waist) In result she received Proton and IMRT radiation, and learned to walk again for the second time in her life. To call her strong or a fighter really is an understatement. Holly beat it then, and I know she can do it again. We are praying with all we have for this time around also. She has so much to live for, as Nora is a little over 3 months. Holly lives in Tipp City with her boyfriend Troy, baby Nora, and their puppy Pickles.

After Holly's biopsy results were discussed, it was decided that she would be relocated to Nationwide Children's hospital in Columbus where she would be treated with an aggressive chemotherapy. Her & her family were told that this treatment would possibly not work, as her type of cancer would not may respond to it. That is why Holly was only treated with surgery and radiation the first time. Holly and her family would have to drive every Monday and Friday to Columbus for chemotherapy directly inserted through her head, and also through her port in her chest for extended stays at the hospital.

Last week, Holly received an MRI on her brain that showed that the treatment was not working. She wasn't surprised as she knew there was a slim chance that it would help. Her father then began searching for another way to kill this monster. After lots of research, he discovered a natural, herbal healing (Eastern Medicine) that is shown and proven by researchers and doctors that IT IS POSSIBLE. The downside to this is that it is VERY expensive and out of pocket, as insurance covers 0%. If you would like to help by donating to Holly & her family, please do so. There is NO amount too small. We really do appreciate any help during this difficult time.

Holly: What can I say? It sucks being special sometimes. It also sucks having a high pain tolerance (I can't distinguish when to go to the hospital) and the maturity level of a 40-year-old, as I was forced to grow up at the young age of 16. One thing I can say to any sickness, is that your brain plays a HUGE part in healing. It is incredibly important. Honestly, I would say 60% (probably more) of healing is really your mindset. I learned this with learning how to wiggle my toes..stand by myself... walk by myself. You really do have to believe you can do it and push yourself. I did, and slowly but surely, I accomplished huge milestones. The other 40% is medicine. In addition, cancer isn't some kind of unknown problem in the world in 2017. So many are blind to this demon, but don't think or question why cancer is such an issue. Lastly, people need to WAKE UP, look what's in your food, what's in your environment, what your putting on your skin, what you're smoking, and many, many other things that you come in contact with, because the last thing I'm going to be is dumb, and go out clueless. Stop living in the past or the future, and LIVE IN THE DAMN MOMENT.
