Help Heal Christine, Uganda's Orphanage Hero

Hi my name is Pastor Al Serino. I run an orphanage foundation for children in Pakistan and Uganda. This is Christine Bridget - our director of Uganda orphanage in small village of Bukuya 3 hours west of Kampala, the capitol.

Christine was in a severe motorcycle accident and was thrown from the back of the motorcycle 10 days ago. She broke her right leg and tibia, as well as sustained severe head trauma and internal injuries.

Our problem is that the hospital she is in, is not equipped to do CT scans and internal scans to verify any internal organ damage. She laid there for four days while we raised money for her medical bills at local village hospital. They don't do any treatment without prior payments!

You can see in picture that she is in severe pain. We want to move her to Kamapala - capital city , where hospital services are better equipped to care for her.

Funds will be used to pay for transportation to kampala, procuring a wheel chair for her to be transported and moved around, to pay for hospital tests required ther, and for rehab of her body. We have been told by local hospital that it will take at least 8 weeks of rehab.

In the meantime we have had to bring in additional support for orpahange children - 29 little ones ages 1 to 12 years of age !

A little about "our Christine" :

Christine is 27 years old an orphan growing up after the death of her parents, and called by God to ministry to serve orphans. A graduate of Bible College in Uganda she went back to her village with a heart to ”gather up the orphans one by one” to give them the love and hope she never received. A strong leader Christine is dedicated to dedicated to give orphans what she missed as a child.
