Hi! My name's Alicia, and I'm raising money for my niece Lauren and her unborn baby, Dean. On January 4th at Children's Mercy Hospital, Lauren found out baby Dean had a hole in his heart as well as an interrupted aorta and will need surgery 2 weeks after delivery. He will require another surgery again after 1 year. Lauren is being induced at Children's Mercy Hospital on January 26th where baby Dean will stay several weeks until he is recovered enough to go home with mom and dad.

Lauren just graduated from MSSU last May, and she hasn't been at her job long enough to have full benefits. Her fiancé and her are just starting out and the medical costs are becoming challenging to keep up with.
