Help HCMS Students Learn in Washington DC

Please help Hill Country Micro School students travel to Washington DC. HCMS is committed to providing the same high-quality educational experience to all admitted students, regardless of their family situations. Nearly half of all micro school students receive financial assistance to attend school, with one-third attending without cost. These opportunities come at great personal cost to Sarah and the entire Distel family.

Currently, there are several students who need assistance to participate in the Washington, DC learning experience. HCMS believes strongly in the power of travel to open minds, and this trip in particular will support what students have learned in government and civics this year. Because of her strong belief in the value of this experience, Sarah has been paying for these students herself, which we all understand is beyond the role of even the most dedicated educator.
