Help Hazy kick leukemia's butt

Donation protected
If you know Lindsay Roberts and the Jobin siblings you know that they are a compassionate and welcoming family that have helped so many people. Hayzln is the second oldest of 5 children and an amazing idol to her siblings! Unfortunately, several weeks ago, Hayzln was admitted to the hospital in Whitehorse, then quickly flown to Vancouver where her whole life turned around. In the whirlwind days that followed she received a diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). ALL is an aggressive cancer of the blood that affects both children and adults.

This news is heartbreaking and overwhelming for the entire family. Hayzln and Lindsay will have to stay in Vancouver for the next 8-10 months for intensive treatment with dad, siblings and family flying back and forth from home. While Lindsay, Tommy and Hayzln are in Vancouver, bills still need to be paid and a home needs to be taken care of. There are also unexpected medical expenses that are not covered by Yukon Health, Chronic Disease or Yukon medical travel.

The Ronald MacDonald house is an incredible place and we are grateful that they are able to stay there. When her brother and sisters are visiting, a second adult needs to be with Lindsay as kids under 19 are not able to be there without an adult. Accommodation at night and food for the second adult is another financial burden. Caring for a child going through chemo and leukemia treatments is more than a full-time job and an emotional roller coaster that doesn’t come with extended health benefits.

Hayzln and her mother have always been wildly generous people with huge hearts that they have shared with family, friends and community. This family has helped so many others personally and professionally, opening up their hearts and home. It's hard to ask for help and this GoFundMe situation is an uncomfortable call for help, but needed. We're creating this GoFundMe so that they can concentrate on Hayzln's health and getting her the proper care to focus on her mental and physical well-being. This family has been through enough struggles already which have contributed to the trauma and burnout symptoms that we all feel now. We want to assist them so there are no worries back home, with money, pets etc.

Maybe you're not in a place to donate right now. If you could lend a hand taking care of the pets, getting the yard ready for winter, or helping out in some other way, contact the organizer. If you prefer to make a direct etransfer off of the GoFundMe platform, reach out to the organizer for contact info.

Thanks in advance for bolstering up this great kiddo and her family. We're all standing with you, Hazy!
