Help Hazem Attend UWC USA
Donation protected
Hi all!
I'm Hazem, an Egyptian high school student, biology and research enthusiast, and a guitar player for 5 years now.
I've been accepted into the Armand Hammer United World College of the American West (UWC USA), part of a prestigious global movement of 18 boarding schools where learning goes far beyond the classroom through creativity, activity, and service (CAS). Attending UWC has been a dream that persisted for two years of applying. I was rejected in 2024 and worked more on my weaknesses. And here I am, a prospective UWC USA S'27 student.
I received a scholarship covering my tuition and boarding ($54,100/year). However, my family is responsible for transportation ($1,000) and the mandatory health insurance ($2,420/year, $4,840 for both years). These extra expenses make it harder for my family to support my dream of joining UWC.
For me, UWC is not a place for just studying or getting a globally respected diploma. It is a place where I can deepen my passion for biology through daily interaction with nature and the forests surrounding the school, continue my path in guitar, and exchange cultures and dreams with other global students.
Any help will make these dreams come true. Your contribution will promote my self-growth and independence, 11,000 km away from home, and make me a step closer to my intended biology major in university in the distant future.
Thank you so much for being part of this by either donating or sharing!
