Help Hazem rebuild and support the family’s basic needs

An appeal received on 09/17/2025:

"Part of my family has moved to the south but they have no tents, and the price of one exceeds $1,000. We urgently need at least 6 tents for my brothers and their children - a total of 53 people, most of them children.

There is no transportation, and the cost of moving from Gaza to the central area is more than $800 with fees.

Still I hold on to hope - with your support, we can move my family from the dangerous area of Tel al-Hawa to the relatively safer central area.

We urgently ask for your help and support. The circumstances are unbearable and this genocide must be stopped immediately."

Urgent update on 08/24/2025:

Yesterday we received news from Hazem regarding his brother. Last Saturday (16 August), 22-year-old Asim Naif Qasem Karim of Al Rimal went to the aid distribution site 'Mirage' in Rafah. This was considered to be a safe aid distribution point, but Asim was taken by the occupation forces, along others. Some people were released, but not Asim. Hazem and his family don’t know anything about him since.

In Hazem’s words “This tragedy has left my mother devastated. She collapsed and was taken to the hospital, her health is worsening as her blood pressure and diabetes are no longer under control. Now, my family is left without food, without support, and without Asim. Every days feels like a painful struggle for survival.”

The Karim family is heartbroken by this situation. Please help us by sharing this information in social media to bring awareness.

We are Maria and Margherita, two friends from Portugal and Italy. We created this fundraiser to help our dear friend Hazem K and his family in Gaza.

This family has been going through a lot of hardship since the invasion began. Family members have died from situations which would have been easily managed in a war free country, such as Dr. Naif Karim, Hazem's father, who passed away due to not being able to travel and get medical treatment.

Children suffer from skin diseases, ulcers and intestinal infections. I need to provide them with medicine, food and drink, to allow them to survive and see better days.

Since the war began, they have gone through a lot of hardships no children should ever have to bear. They should be able to play and grow in safety, rather than having to run for their lives when danger is near.

Please help us by donating whatever you can. Donations help us greatly. Your donations allow us to get much needed food, water and medication, which have surged in prices since the war began. Margherita and I are hoping to raise enough money to help Hazem and his family (a total of 48 family members, including 29 children under the age of 16). With your help, we will be closer to that goal.

The donations are transferred via wire transfer from Margherita's bank account to Hazem's on a monthly basis.
