My name is Chavonda, and my baby Hazeleigh Jones and I have been through a series of devastating events. Recently, Hazeleigh was shot and is still recovering. We have to travel two hours for her doctor’s appointments and physical therapy, which has been especially hard since we lost our home and car.
Our apartment caught fire when the stove malfunctioned, and instead of helping us, the management told us to pay nearly a thousand dollars or leave by June 1st. Since then, we’ve been moving from place to place, sometimes even sleeping in the car. Now, with the car stolen and impounded, we have no way to get to Hazeleigh’s medical appointments or find stable shelter.
We are on our own with no family or local organizations to help. I am asking for support to cover medical expenses, secure safe housing, and get reliable transportation so Hazeleigh can continue her recovery. Any help will make a real difference for us as we try to rebuild our lives after so much loss.
