My name is Molly Stahler and I am starting this page on behalf of my dear friends Karmina & Lacie Baldwin, and their beautiful dog Hazel.

Earlier this week, their sweet dog Hazel started struggling with her health—vomiting, lethargy, having trouble urinating, and showing obvious signs of discomfort (when she normally never shows discomfort!)

This led Karmina and Lacie to take her to MedVet on the afternoon of Tuesday (1/20). After doing an initial workup and bloodwork, it was determined that Hazel had kidney disfunction, though they weren’t sure to what extent. Following additional testing, the results showed that Hazel has several kidney stones, but thankfully zero blockages.

However, sweet Hazel will still need to have surgery, as well as be on a special diet moving forward to help her maintain good kidney function and quality of life.

The cost of this unexpected emergency (including surgery, the ER visit, vet visits, diagnostics, medications, and prescription food) has reached approximately $4,000 (see cost breakdown below).

Karmina and Lacie are both very proud individuals and are not great at asking for help, so I am doing it for them. If you feel moved to contribute (even $5!) they will be deeply grateful!! All funds will go directly towards Hazel’s medical care.
