Hazel unexpectedly came into my life after I rescued her from a neglectful and abusive situation. She had a rope tied tightly around her neck, which had become embedded and caused a severe, infected wound all the way around. When I found her, she was in pain and needed urgent help. I took her to the vet, where the rope was removed and she began treatment with antibiotics and twice-daily wound care. Thanks to this care, Hazel’s wound is mostly healed, but she still has a hole in her neck where her trachea is damaged. The extent of the damage can’t be determined without a CT scan, and she will need surgery to repair her trachea so she can fully recover and live a happy, healthy life. The CT scan alone is very expensive, and the cost of surgery is still unknown until we know exactly what needs to be done. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Hazel’s CT scan and the surgery she needs. Hazel is so happy here and shows her gratitude every day with her loving and thankful spirit. I want to give her the best chance at a full recovery and promise to love and care for her for the rest of her life. Any support you can give means the world to both of us. Thank you for helping Hazel get the second chance she deserves.
