hello i’m Hazel :^) if you don’t know me, i’m a trans woman, and after nine years on hormones and a lot of work, i finally have the chance to undergo breast augmentation surgery!

this is something i’ve wanted for a long time. however, it comes with a lot of costs that aren’t covered by insurance. since heavy lifting is part of my job’s responsibilities, i will be out of work for about three weeks. i won’t be getting PTO, and i need money for rent, food, post-surgery supplies, and quite a few new clothes, as basically none of my tops will fit afterward.

after sitting down with my partner and considering all the potential costs, i’ve determined that i need $1800 to cover the above expenses. this is where i really need your help to achieve this goal i’ve had for so long.

gender-affirming surgery should be treated as a human right, but unfortunately it isn’t here and now, and is in fact at risk of being taken away from us completely by the current federal administration. it’s urgent i am allowed this before that happens.

i’m a working-class person with a career in directly providing care and services to disabled adults, and have been living paycheck to paycheck for most of my adult life. if you can support me monetarily at this time and ensure continued access to essentials for living and recovery from surgery, i would be deeply grateful. thank you so much for making it this far, i hope you all are well
