Anyone who knows me knows that Haze is my world. I got him when I first moved out of my parents house and he’s been with me for some of the hardest times of my life. I love him more than anything and it’s breaking my heart to see him in such pain. Saturday morning I took have to the ER because I noticed he has straining to use the bathroom and was just staying in his litter box for half an hour at a time. The doctors told me that he was not fully obstructed but he was at a very high risk of having a urinary obstruction. They sent me home with him and I barely slept so that I could monitor him. He wasn’t eating or drinking or even walking so I took him back to the ER where they did a procedure to unblock him. The procedure was successful but they tore his urethra. He now has to stay in the hospital for at least 5 days. I recently lost my job because of Hurricane Ida (I live in Mamaroneck, NY) so I am struggling to put the money together to pay for his care. Any amount at all would be a huge help for me and Haze.
