Help WNC Families After Storm Flooding
Donation protected
My name is Butch Mullinix. I've been working in and visiting Haywood County for 30+ years and now live in Clyde, NC, off Old Clyde Road, parts of which suffered tremendously from Hurricane Helene flooding. My family and I drive on this road daily, and this morning my son said, "Dad, I feel so sad for all these folks that lost their house. Let's start a fundraiser so we can give them all extra money to get through all this."
This fundraiser will assist those in need here in Haywood County, NC. The priority will be to families that lost their home or were significantly damaged and are now displaced. Secondly those that lost their job as a result of the storm and can't provide for their family currently. So here goes. Please help financially if you are able to. What's provided, if anything, by the government is not enough to meet the needs of these folks left with nothing here in this amazingly beautiful part of Western North Carolina. What I am seeing firsthand, as well as at local distribution centers for supplies, is that people need cash in their pockets. Free supplies are readily available in many areas throughout the region. Please donate money, and we will physically hand out cash to everyone we can touch in Haywood County that's in need. Once we are done here, we'll go to another neighboring county devastated by Hurricane Helene's flooding.
