Help Hayley with her Cancer Treatment Journey
Donation protected
Hayley was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer earlier this year after finding a lump and getting it checked out. She is a nurse and has helped many people throughout her career. Now we want to show our support and help her.
She has had many appointments and tests to figure out the type of cancer, gene testing, and what the best route of treatment would be. She had to have a lumpectomy surgery to remove the tumor, followed by lymph node removal surgery. She will soon start chemotherapy in June and then radiation, along with other medications that will prevent the cancer from returning. While they were able to remove the cancer, it’s necessary to get additional treatment because there is a high chance of the cancer returning without them given her young age and the specific type of cancer she has.
The surgery and medications are expensive and on top of that Hayley has had to take time off work for recovery from surgery because nursing is a very physical job and these surgeries came with restrictions. She is going to try to work as much as she can during her chemo treatments and lead as normal of a life as possible but will likely need some additional time off due to side effects.
Anyone who knows Hayley knows that she has the most generous spirit and would be the first to offer her support in any way she could to others. If you are able to donate, anything helps to take some stress off so she can focus on healing. More than anything, your prayers and support mean so much.
