My 16-year-old cousin Hayley has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a rare and serious form of blood cancer that affects her bone marrow and the way her body produces blood cells.

She is currently receiving chemotherapy through a Hickman’s line, a central line inserted into her chest so treatment can go directly into her bloodstream. The process is intense, exhausting, and has meant constant hospital visits, tests, and long days away from home.

Because her chemotherapy can impact her ability to have children later in life, Hayley also had to undergo IVF to freeze her eggs. This was emotionally overwhelming and financially draining, and her parents had to cover the fertility preservation costs themselves to protect her future choices.

We are raising funds to help with:

• Travel to and from hospital appointments

• IVF and future fertility-related costs

• Ongoing medical and treatment expenses

• Time her parents need to take off work

• Daily living costs during hospital stays

• The chance to give the family a well-deserved holiday after months of stress, fear, and financial pressure — a chance for Hayley and her family to rest, enjoy time together, and not worry about money for once
