Hi, friends! My name is Hayley, and if you do not personally know me, I am a single mother to a wonderful 10 year old named Luna. I am raising funds to purchase a new (used, but new to me) vehicle because reliable transportation is something we desperately need. My daughter attends an MSCS optional school that does not offer bus services, which means every day is a challenge to get her to and from school, as well as to her extracurricular activities. Without a reliable car, I also struggle to get myself to work and to important doctors appointments, making it difficult to maintain stability for our family. My current vehicle has repeatedly broken down over the last year, and I no longer feel comfortable pouring more money into it, as it is essentially beyond repair at this point with nearly 300,000 miles. It is broken down again as I type this.
A reliable vehicle would change everything for us. It would allow me to get my daughter to school safely and on time, make it to work consistently, and ensure we never have to miss a doctor's appointment or cheer event. The relief of not having to worry about how we will get where we need to go would make a tremendous impact on my mental health and daily life. I have been in recovery from Opiate addiction since 11/14/2021 and I am determined to keep moving forward in my recovery and to give my daughter the opportunities she deserves. I am currently saving for a new vehicle, but I am struggling to meet my goal. Each day that I spend money on Ubers to get us to and from school and work just sets me back further.
If you are able to support us, your kindness would mean the world. Any contribution, big or small, will help us take this important step toward stability and peace of mind. Thank you for considering our family and for being part of our journey. With gratitude - Hayley.
