Help Hayley & Andy Fight Cancer Without Financial Worry

Life can be incredibly unfair, and right now, two of the strongest people I know are facing the toughest battle of their lives.

My amazing sister Hayley has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will soon face radiotherapy. A cancer diagnosis is devastating in itself, but what makes this situation even more heartbreaking is that Hayley is also a carer for her partner, Andy.

Andy was first diagnosed with Throat & Neck Cancer in January 2020. He endured chemotherapy and 39 rounds of radiotherapy, only to have the cancer return—twice. Now, for the third time, Andy is fighting this relentless disease and is currently undergoing chemotherapy again.

The emotional, physical, and financial burden they are facing is overwhelming. Neither Hayley nor Andy can work due to their conditions, making this battle even harder. Hayley is an incredibly strong, independent, and caring woman who always puts others first. She has spent her life looking after those around her, and now, it’s time for us to take care of her and Andy.

Although she would never ask for help, I know the financial strain is immense. That’s why I am taking matters into my own hands. In May, I will be running the Essar Chester Half Marathon, and every penny raised will go directly to Hayley and Andy to help ease their financial stress. This will allow them to focus on what truly matters—getting well and fighting back.

The funds raised will be used to make life easier for Hayley and Andy during this incredibly tough time. Cancer treatment is a full-time job in itself, and so is healing.
