Help Haylee Build a Climbing Wall for Her School

Hi! I'm Haylee. I'm working on my 8th-grade capstone project, and I’m super excited about it! I’m hoping to add a climbing wall to my school gym at Wauwatosa Montessori. As someone who loves climbing, I want to share its amazing benefits by bringing it into our PE classes and extracurricular activities.

I’ve been at this school since first grade, and it would mean so much to me to leave behind something special for future students. Since we’re a small K-8 school with only 180 students, opportunities like this don’t come around often—so every bit of support truly means the world.

My journey:

I found out that the district has a climbing wall in storage, which is good news, because now the only cost would be for installation and mats. Working with my principal, we scheduled the installation with the school's building maintenance in September. Now we only need to fundraise for the mats. The quote for the 5 mats plus shipping is $2800.

Some other good news is that Everlast climbing (a company that makes climbing walls for schools), likes this project so much that they decided to match half of what I fundraise. That leaves $800 to fundraise after securing Spingroup as a sponsor $700.
