Please Help Hayes Bone McMullen

This is Hayes Bone McMullen. Hayes is a happy, energetic, loving 9 year old boy. After recent genetic testing, Hayes was given the diagnosis of a GABRA-1 gene mutation. This causes Hayes to have seizures, developmental delays and behaviors that mimic autism. As Hayes approaches puberty we have been told he will require more support and monitoring. A service dog that is dual trained for seizure alerts and autism behaviors, would allow Hayes to have a little more freedom at the same time give us the peace of mind that we will be alerted if he is in danger or having a seizure. The total cost for training this dog is $60,000. We are working with an organization called 4Paws 4ability that does the majority of fund raising, the portion we are responsible for is $17,000.
