Help Hayden's Needs

Our son Hayden is 10 years old he has spinal muscular atrophy type 2. Hayden was diagnosed when he was 3 1/2 years old. He has had surgery's after surgery's . He has a low Immune system, Cardiomyopathy, He has a feeding tube and he also has a MACE that helps makes his bowels to move.  Hayden had lost his ability to walk or stand so he is in a wheelchair. He can still crawl but even that is getting weaker.If he doesn't get the help that he needs. Before too long he will become bed ridden.  He also has been taking Spinraza. Spinraza is a injection that goes into your spine. Spinraza is supposed to help maintain what muscle he has left and to slow down the progress of Hayden's diagnosis. He has been taking Spinraza for two years now. It has helped keep his lungs strong and his upper strength stable but is getting weaker cause he uses it all the time. He takes the injection 4 times a year. Which that means being put to sleep. We are very grateful for what it has helped in and all we can do is pray that it continues to help and maintain what he has.

We have came to some road blocks that have been a burden on use due to funds. We where asked to start a go fund me page to help. 

Hayden was told that he was needing a sit to stand stander, electric wheelchair, something to help him crawl (cause he is flipping his hands to crawl and it's causing 
pressure scores on his hands and feet.

Hayden's Insurance is one of our road blocks. We have been told that they will not cover more then one item that he is needing.

So they are going to cover for him a electric wheelchair. With that being said we have a van that we have a lift for the back of the van. But with Hayden getting taller and heavier. It would be much in need for him to be able to just ride himself in. We have checked to see what we could get for the van that we have and they said that it would only be in the back if the van (on the inside). But we would still have to transfer him to his seat and then load the wheelchair. The coast of it would be 12,000-25,000 to get it done. So we where looking in to getting a van that would meet Hayden's needs. The cost of it is 54,000.00. We where going to use our van as a trade in. But due to a personal family road block we can't do that at this time.

So Hayden is in need of two BIG items. Which is the sit to stand stander and either a down payment for a handicap van or for someone to lead us in the right direction to get the needs that we need at this time for Hayden. We can't afford everything that Hayden needs alone. Hayden's needs cost is 7,000.00 for his sit to stand stander. 5,000.00 for a down payment for handicap van.

Hayden has been through so much in his life, but some how he manages to get up everyday with a smile on his face and hope in his heart.

Update: Hayden's Mom and Dad went to check on trading in their van and it was going to cost $800.00 a month. They cant afford that kind of payment.  So we are adding in to see if we can get a bigger down deposit/ or enough where they can just get it straight out. What ever to get what Hayden the van that he needs.  The price for the one that was the same year as the van that they have now is $55,900.00. So keep praying and keep sharing. We have hope that we can meet all Hayden's Needs.
