Hayden Abene just moved to Northern California this summer to join our union family here at SEIU 521.  After a horrible fall, Hayden has suffered many broken bones, has been in a medically induced coma, and is now in and out of surgeries.  His mother Anne has come  from North Carolina to support Hayden and care for Hayden's dog, Oliver.  
Hayden has over 100 broken bones, and we know that with time he can heal, but the medical expenses are sure to add up. 

Hayden is kind, thoughtful, and incredibly hard working. He loves his dog, his friends and organizing for a better world.
Even with his jaw wired shut, his right arm/hand limp post surgery, and being on a ton of pain medication...he is still trying to organize the non-union OT and PT’s at Stanford hospital from his bed!



This is not an easy time for him or his family, and we must show our support!
