Hi, my name is Mark Houghton and I have known Hayden since he was in sixth grade at Anderson Middle School. At that time he was just getting started in speed skating. I have continued to follow, encourage and support Hayden since then in 2016. He has made strides in his commitment to skating with the support of Jennifer and David Wallace, and the coaching/mentoring of Jay Ingram. Hayden once again is on the USA Roller Sports Speed Skating World Team in the Senior Men's division. It is expensive to attend the National Outdoor Championship where Hayden earned his place on the 2025 Inline Worlds Speed Skating Team. And even more expensive to travel to Beidaihe - People’s Republic of China and reside in China for three weeks for the 2025 World Competition. This is the fourth year that Hayden has made the USA's World Team. He has two top ten finishes in previous years at Worlds in the 1,000 meter event and numerous USA records.
