Help Hawaii Kai 13U All-Stars go to World Series
UPDATE 8/13/2021.
Thank you so much for all the donations. The team made it to Jamestown, NY. You can follow the team on GameChanger at https://gc.com/t/summer-2021/pacific-southwest-61006e66d2b60e654b2050d7. Also, all games will be livestreamed free at https://www.jockjive.com/baberuth13yrpage.html.
On Monday, July 5th, the Hawaii Kai 13U All-Star team qualified for the Babe Ruth Pacific Southwest Regional as the number 2 team out of Hawaii. HK had to quickly make travel arrangements to play in the 10 team tournament on July 26th in Fallon, Nevada. Only 12 of the 14 players were able to make the trip along with 3 coaches. Nevertheless, despite playing the hardest schedule, HK won the regional against the state champion from Hawaii 4-3 coming from behind in dramatic fashion. HK ultimately played and beat Central California (6-5), Northern California (5-4), and Elite Warriors from Hawaii (4-2, 1-2, 4-3). These teams finished 4th, 3rd, and 2nd, respectively, out of the 10 teams, and HK had to stage a late comeback in every game except their first one.
HK now needs to travel to Jamestown, New York on August 12th to participate in the Babe Ruth 13U World Series. The team will need to stay there until August 22nd. This has caused an enormous financial hardship on these families. Please donate to help offset this team with their travel expenses so that these families may provide their sons with this once in a lifetime opportunity.
