My name is Ayten and I have set up this fundraiser on behalf of my sister. My Sister Havva is 32 years old and has Stage 4 Lymphoma. She was going to start working as a science teacher in a preparatory school in Turkey, but the schools have banned and she could not find a job. She got married in May 2016, and their happiness only lasted for two months. After the 15th of July Military Coup, although it was proven that her husband was innocent, he was expelled and detained many times. Their home was raided multiple times, then her husband was caught and arrested. Meantime her brother, an 18-year-old, first-year Air Force Academy cadet was arrested on the night of the failed coup on July 15, 2016, and was not heard from for 10 days straight, dead or alive. He was held in the Silivri Penitentiary for 6 years although it was proven that they were innocent, and while expecting to be released, received life in prison on January 19, 2018. This decision resulted in massive trauma and destruction for her. He was sentenced to life in prison while he was a first-year student. During these difficult times, she could not receive any support from her father or any of her relatives, except for her mother. On the one hand, she went back and forth between the visits of her brother, who was in Silivri, and the courts of her husband, who was also in prison. She was the only supporter of her mother, whose tears never ceased. During these very difficult and stressful 6 years, she could not have children, but thanks to the latest in vitro fertilization, she now has 4-month-old twin babies. However, after years-long of hardship, her body could no longer withstand such great difficulties and she was diagnosed with cancer before her babies were even cut off from breastmilk.

Since her husband was released from prison and dismissed from his government job, he can only make a living by working as a part-time courier. They do not have insurance, and they are not able to cover the treatment costs. As they are not allowed to travel outside of Turkey, there are no other treatment alternatives for her either. Currently, Turkey has been experiencing a massive doctor shortage in recent years, therefore it took days for Havva to even get an appointment for her cancer treatment. She has only begun her fight against cancer and time is of the essence! We are hoping to raise some funds to help her with the expenses.

Kız kardeşim Havva, 32 yaşında öğretmen ve 4. evre Lymphoma kanser hastası. 15 Temmuz 2016’dan iki ay önce Mayıs ayında evlendi ve mutlulukları sadece iki ay sürebildi. 15 Temmuz olduğunda eşi ihraç edildi, defalarca gözaltına alındı, evlerine baskınlar yapıldı ve sonrasında da eşi tutuklandı ve hapiste yattı. Aynı dönemde 1. sınıf Harbiyeli askeri öğrenci olan kardeşi de tutuklandı ve Silivriye kondu. Bu zorlu süreçte annesi dışında ne babasından ne de hiçbir yakınından destek göremedi. Bir yandan Silivri’de yatan kardeşinin ziyaretleriyle, mahkemeleriyle, bir taraftan da hapiste olan eşinin mahkemeleri arasında mekik dokudu. Göz yaşları hiç dinmeyen annesinin de tek destekçisi o oldu. Çok zorlu ve stresli geçen bu 6 yıl boyunca çocukları da olmadı ve en son tedavi sonucunda ikiz bebekleri nasip oldu ama bu kadar sıkıntılara artık bedeni daha fazla dayanamadı ve 4 aylık bebekleri sütten bile kesilmeden Lymphoma kanserine yakalandığını öğrendi. KHK’lı eşi part-time kuryelik yaparak geçimini sağladığı için sigortaları da yok ve maalesef tedavi masrafları da karşılanamıyor. Yurtdışı yasakları olduğu için de başka tedavi alternatifleri de yok. Doktor sayısı yetersizliğinden kanser tedavisi için randevu almaları günler aldı ve çok uğraşlar sonrası tedavi için randevu alabildiler. Tedavisi yeni başladı ve kanseri yenmesi için zaman kaybetmemesi gerekiyor. Sürecin bütün sıkıntılarını yaşayan Havva kardeşimize kanserle mücadelesinde maddi ve manevi destek için sizlerin yardımlarınızı bekliyoruz. Herkesten şimdiden Allah razı olsun.
