Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters!

We’re reaching out with heavy but hopeful hearts to ask for help on behalf of Haven Reed, a sweet and resilient 11-year-old little girl who was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Unfortunately, this was unexpected and happened overnight without any signs or symptoms.

This diagnosis has launched her family into a completely new journey—one filled with finger pricks, insulin injections, strict monitoring, and a whole new way of life. Through it all, Haven has shown incredible strength, but now, her family needs our help. Currently, her parents are uninsured and were recently denied Medicaid coverage. They are actively applying for multiple programs that offer assistance with insulin and essential diabetic supplies—but have been told the approval process can take 3 to 6 weeks.

Shanyn, Haven's mom, is unfortunately losing income as well during this difficult time. So, any funding obtained will also be to help her maintain their household.

This is not only mentally draining but physically draining for everyone close to this precious little girl, so the family is inquiring about a medical service dog that will be able to help monitor Haven as well as keep her spirits up.

When Haven was discharged from Riley Hospital, she was given only a 30-day supply of medication and equipment. That supply is rapidly running out, and they are in urgent need of financial support to bridge the gap during this critical waiting period. This fundraiser is a short-term request to help cover Haven’s life-sustaining medications and diabetic supplies over the next few months. Every dollar raised will go directly toward keeping her healthy, safe, and stable until long-term assistance is secured.

Haven’s family has been overwhelmed with love, prayers, texts, advice, and support from their incredible village. They never imagined having to ask for financial help—but as parents, they will do whatever it takes to keep their baby girl alive and well. If anyone would like proof of purchases or receipts, they are more than willing to provide full transparency.
