On Monday, May 27th, my 16-year-old niece Haven Ramos woke up with a terrible pain in her neck that quickly spread to her arms and legs, leaving her unable to walk or move anything Chest down.After days of uncertainty and countless tests, she was diagnosed with transverse myelitis, a rare neurological disorder that affects the spinal cord.

Haven is currently undergoing costly plasma treatments and physical therapy. She will be hospitalized for the unforeseeable future while we are hopeful to find the underlying cause. Her parents, my sister Brandi and her husband Josh, have been by her side every step of the way. As they navigate this difficult time, I'm starting a GoFundMe to help alleviate the financial burden that comes with medical bills, further testing, Rehab, therapies, and making their home accessible for Haven.
