Help Hava for Halil’s Medical Expenses
Donation protected
It was a typical workday for Halil. He went to work on Wednesday, February 12th, when the whole world turned around. He was found unresponsive. Halil suffered two cardiac arrests and a brain hemorrhage. Thanks to his supervisor who performed CPR, EMTs, and Northwestern Hospital staff, they were able to revive Halil not once but twice. Most people don’t survive one cardiac arrest, let alone two on top of a brain hemorrhage.
He’s beaten pneumonia, a brain infection, fever, two cardiac arrests, and a brain hemorrhage. Halil is a fighter.
He’s been fighting for his life in ICU for the past few weeks, and as you can imagine, the medical bills will be astounding. His wife Hava has been by his side since this unexpected emergency. Hava had back surgery last year that left her disabled. Those that know Hava and Halil know that they are two amazing humans who would do anything to help anyone. Now is the time for us to help them during this difficult time.
Halil is still in ICU (week 3) and is making progress. Doctors are estimating that it would take 6 months to a year of rehab for Halil. Each day is a new blessing as they await news on progress.
He’s been weaned off the ventilator and is able to breathe on his own.
It’s not easy to ask for help, but I ask that we please help Hava and Halil as we know how much of a burden medical bills are for a family that has already been hit with tragedy when Hava had to stop working due to her disability.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and may God bless you for helping the family when they need it the most.
With permission from the family, I will update on progress and share photos.
