Help Hatti to raise money for Moo's vet bills, RIP

Update: Moo was put to sleep whilst under anaesthesia on 4/7/25 as he wasn't going to survive the next round of treatment. On top of his stomach wound, he had become jaundiced from the medication and not taking the blood transfusions well and his iron levels weren't strong enough to keep operating. His leg had started to become swollen and also needed medical attention. RIP Moo, I miss you so much. </3

Hi my name is Hatti and mine and Moo's life has been totally derailed by a dog bite. I never thought I'd be the person to start a GoFundMe but on June 16th Moo was rushed to the emergency vets as I found him nursing a pretty awful wound outside in the garden.

It's presumed to be a haematoma following a severe bite wound, where fluid has built up under his skin and whilst it has been draining fluid, it's since spiralled. He's been on a drip to control his temperature at Streatham Hill Vets throughout the heatwave to prevent infection, but had to undergo an emergency blood transfusion from a dog to get his iron levels up which has improved him slightly but not enough. He's now been referred to the Ralph Centre in Slough to have a CT scan and a blood transfusion from a cat, but there could be more procedures to come as the wound is still draining blood.

I'm doing everything I can to help Moo but at present I've spent all my savings and I'm awaiting incoming invoices. I've taken out two loans through the vets to pay for his treatments which keep surmounting but he is still very much himself and he is not in critical condition so I will do whatever it takes to save him. Travelling between vet surgeries, he's been purring his head off. He is truly my best friend and I don't want imagine my life without him in it.

Sadly, my freelance job contract has been paused because of all this and everything has escalated dramatically. I've handed my notice in at my flat and will be moving back to the Midlands to save money and pay for all this. I'll also be selling things on Vinted for the foreseeable, I may end up with one outfit like Bart Simpson but it is worth it for Moo to be able to play again.

I would be extremely grateful for any and all donations, so far the cost is around the 16k mark but I'm just looking for enough to get me by until the end of my tenancy and the first few loan repayments until I've found my feet and my employment is sorted out. I will love you forever!
