Hello, my name is Hassan, and I live in the Gaza Strip. I'm married and have two children: Hosni, who is four years old, and Rayan, who is one. My son Hosni is in kindergarten. He was very excited about this stage, like any child, but now he only remembers moments of fear and terror during the war. I graduated from two universities in Gaza and earned two degrees: a bachelor's degree in computer science and a diploma in medical equipment technology. I volunteered at several government and private institutions in the Gaza Strip, hoping to find a permanent job, but that was difficult in Gaza. So, my brothers and I worked on a small project below our house, a market selling groceries and fresh meat. My wife graduated from Al-Azhar University in Gaza with a degree in nursing and aspired to work in healthcare and use her degree.
Since the morning of October 7th, our lives have been turned upside down and changed for the worse. Our dreams were shattered. I lost my home, my job, and my livelihood; we have nothing left.
My family and I fled to Egypt through the Rafah border crossing because of the war. We are living in dire conditions and facing an uncertain future.
I recently had a new baby in Egypt, whom I named Adam, bringing my total to three children and increasing the family's burdens.
After everything we have been through, and after exhausting all other means of survival, it seems that fundraising is the only way to help my family secure safe housing and a decent life.
Your help is our only option now. My family and I are incredibly grateful for your support.
Please share this appeal with anyone who can help in any way.
Your help could be a glimmer of hope in these circumstances. Every dollar you donate could save a life, restore hope to a broken heart, and secure a young person's future.
Please don't see this story as a tragedy. I am here to ask you to prevent things from getting worse and help us start over. I am here to ask for your help, not your pity. I urge you to take action, whether by donating or by sharing this appeal with everyone you know who can help. Please read this with compassion, and consider it as if your own family, mother, or siblings were going through this. Finally, thank you very much.
