Support for Hassan & family

**Thank you to everyone. We have been overwhelmed with peoples generosity. We are now in a position to bring Hassan home with the funds raised. However, we have had so many messages from people saying that they still wanting to donate even if the funds go to the family. Any further donations from this point will be going to the family to help Hassan.** 

Hassan Mahmood, 13 year old British boy went on holiday to Antalya (Turkey) with his mother and 21 year sister. They were travelling back from theexcursion on a mini bus with 22 other passengers when they met with an accident.

 

His mother and sister both passed away tragically in the accident. The only two fatalities out of 25 passengers.

 

Hassan was rushed to hospital immediately and was very critical and in coma for sometime. He has had several abdominal injuries and has required multiple operations. He was in the ICU and on life support for 5days. He still needs several operations and ongoing treatment.

 

Hassan is still in hospital in Antalya with a bill that nobody can pay. He still needs treatment and the remainder of his family to take care of him back in the UK. All alone and with such a devastating accident we need to bring him home. They only way this can be done is to have him flown back in a private air ambulance and to continue his treatment through the NHS.

 

However, this is very costly and with such a large bill already the family are struggling to pay this. The hospital authorities have refused to let him go without a payment and the cost of keeping him in that hospital is increasing everyday. Hassan still needs further operations including reconstructive surgery.

 

Unfortunately there was no insurance in place to cover his medical bills in Antalya and to have him flown back home for proper treatment and care.

 

Please remember that this is a 13 year old boy who has lost his mother and a sister who he relied on totally and he is now facing life changing injuries.
