Help Keep the Water Flowing at Harvick Farms

For most people, when they think about farming, they think about seeds, sunshine, and harvests. What they don't think about is what happens 460 feet below the ground.

Our well is the lifeline of Harvick Farms. Every flower, vegetable, herb, berry plant, and greenhouse crop depends on water. Without it, we can't grow food for our community.

Since starting our greenhouse business, we've faced well issues almost every year. It's become one of the biggest pain points of operating our farm. Unfortunately, this year, our well pump and motor have reached the point where replacement is necessary.

The quote for replacing our system is $4,415.20 and includes:

New 1.5 HP deep well pump and motor (460-foot well)

New 82-gallon pressure tank

Plumbing and electrical components

Labor to pull and replace the pump nearly 500 feet underground

Five-year warranties on major components

We are incredibly proud of the work we do at Harvick Farms. From growing thousands of plants each season to expanding fresh food access in our community, we believe local farms play an important role in building healthier communities.

This expense comes at the height of our busiest season and is one we simply didn't anticipate. While we're actively pursuing grants and cost-share opportunities, those programs take time and are never guaranteed.
