Harvey is the happiest, goofiest big baby you’ll ever meet. But his journey hasn’t been easy. In 2024, Animal Control found Harvey emaciated and neglected, living life chained and forgotten. He spent over a year in the shelter waiting for a forever home, and as time dragged on, hope began to fade.
Then his guardian angel, Ashley, stepped in. For the past 5 months, she has poured her heart into fostering Harvey—training him, socializing him, and teaching him how to simply be a dog (including how to jog next to a bike!). In her care, Harvey has truly thrived.
But today (8/19/25), Harvey woke up unable to use his back legs and is now incontinent. He urgently needs veterinary care and advanced diagnostic testing. Emergency vet visits are extremely expensive, and Ashley—who fosters entirely out of love—is already caring for another foster with medical needs.
Harvey is the best boy, and he deserves every chance at a happy, healthy life. If you can spare even the cost of your morning coffee, it would mean the world to Harvey, Ashley, and me.
Thank you for supporting Harvey’s fight.

UPDATE 08/20
after being placed in the ICU on an IV drip to help with spine inflammation he was able to stand and have limited mobility as of 5pm. The vet says he seems to be improving and is willingly standing in his kennel. She believes it’s a positive sign that he was back up so quickly. She is hopeful that if he continues to improve he’ll have a shot at a full recovery. If he doesn’t continue to improve, or declines, an MRI will likely be needed.
I will update as I have info! Thank you for all the support for our best boy. He is a fighter and will not let this get him down! (Literally )
UPDATE: 9/24/2025
Harvey has made leaps and bounds in his path to recovery. He still has a long way to go. An official diagnosis is still up in the air- a true medical mystery. While he can walk and trot in short spurts, his hind end is still weak and he can not squat, or turn quickly without his legs giving out. He continues to be incontinent ( with some improvement) and requires diapers 24/7. He is receiving acupuncture, physical therapy and massage weekly which seem to help tremendously. The practitioners providing these therapies believe he is making great strides towards improving but believe time will tell the extent of his recovery. I was able to visit Harvey this past weekend and it was SO good to see his face and see in person how great he is doing. His anti-inflammatory diet along with his new medications and supplements for his muscles and incontinence are not cheap ( along with all his therapy). We believe keeping this Go Fund Me open is beneficial to Harv as long as he is needing support! Any and all donations are going directly to his all consuming care, and Ashley has gone above and beyond for our boy. I cant thank her enough for fighting for our sweet harvey!! I will add some photos from my recent visit with him.
