Hi everyone, my name is Julia and I’m making this fundraiser for my friend Mitch’s cat, Harvey, who is only six years old and in desperate need of medication to clear the crystals blocking his ability to urinate that his owner can’t afford. Harvey has been a light of joy in Mitch’s life—helping him through the darkest of times when his last cat ran away. Harvey is a cat that is beloved by (most of) his community, often napping in local soybean fields and bullying strays.

Harvey has had a history of urinary track issues in the past. Specifically, crystals blocking his ability to urinate properly without being removed, lest the buildup put pressure on his kidneys. He has undergone surgery to fix the source of these issues twice before. Mitch is a hard-working blue-collar man who lives paycheck to paycheck, so he unfortunately couldn’t afford it and went to pay in installments, which he is still not even halfway through paying off. It breaks my heart to hear that Harvey is sick yet again. He has been struggling to pee in normal amounts for around a week now, and just yesterday (3/5/25) I was heartbroken to hear Mitch found blood in his urine, a dire sign. Mitch does not currently have the means to help poor Harvey; his only other option is putting him down. This fundraiser is to help cover the cost of another life-saving medication and ease the burden of Harvey’s previous medical bills. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in saving his life.

Please help us give Harvey a fighting chance. I can’t stand the idea of him being put down, and Mitch can’t either. Thank you so much for your consideration and for reading this.
