Meet Harvey! Harvey is an 8-year-old pit-mix who found his forever home through his foster, Laura. He came to the West Michigan foster agency, Hearts of Hope , in September and was placed with Laura for less than a month before she adopted him.

Laura is no stranger to fosters. She has been fostering dogs for more than 10 years and has adopted a handful of them herself.
Harvey came to Laura with a clean bill of health, but started acting strange near the end of 2019. After a few vet visits and a lot of tests, doctors found that he had an infection in his spine. This lead to both of his back legs being paralyzed.
After two weeks of hospitalization, Harvey was finally able to come home, but would need assistance getting around for the rest of his life.
While his spirit didn't seem affected, it became clear that he would need a a pair of wheels to restore hope and freedom to live a full-filled life as all dogs deserve.
Laura doesn't know I'm starting this page for her, as she would never ask for a hand-out, or even a hand-up. But being a good friend, I know she has infinite love to give, without the thought of her own pocketbook.
She married the love of her life back in September and has two other senior dogs at home and one cat. To be honest, by the time I'm done writing this, she will probably have two more fosters.
I ask you now to find it in your heart to give even just a few dollars to help a fiercely independent woman pay off Harvey's medical bills so he and Laura can live the lives they deserve.

Thank you so much!
With love,
Another animal lover who'd do anything for her pets
