Hi, my name is Harvey Cox, and I am honoured to share that I have been selected by Baseball Australia to represent Australia at the 2025 U16 Perfect Game Pacific Rim Championship, to be held in Sapporo, Japan this August.
I am one of 19 athletes from across Australia chosen to compete in this prestigious international tournament. We will face teams from the United States, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Prior to the competition, we will participate in a high-performance training camp in Fuchu City, Tokyo, alongside MLB China and the Chinese U15 National Team.
This opportunity comes as a result of my performance at the 2025 Australian Youth Championships, held in Blacktown, New South Wales, where I represented South Australia. Our team went undefeated and proudly brought home the gold medal.
The level of competition in Japan will be incredibly high, with many participants being Major League Baseball draft and U.S. college prospects. This event is a valuable platform for showcasing our skills to MLB scouts and college recruiters, and it represents a critical step in my development as an elite athlete.
Unfortunately, baseball is a minority sport in Australia and receives limited financial support. As such, all associated costs - including travel, accommodation, and training - must be
self-funded.
I am respectfully seeking your support to help offset the expenses involved in preparing for and attending this tournament. Any contribution would be deeply appreciated and would go directly towards this incredible opportunity.
Thank you for considering my request, and for supporting me and the future of Australian baseball.
