Hi, my name is Harry; I was disabled at the age of 52 after working for 30+ years and was a volunteer fireman. I'm fundraising to help pay medical bills that Medicare or my insurance will not cover.

My wife of 45 years and I have two incredible sons and daughters-in-law with three grandchildren and two great grand children. My loving wife is a hardworking person working full time. We have fallen on hard times due to a severe setback after having had knee replacement surgery in September 2021.

I have since had two additional knee surgeries, the latest one after I developed a severe life-threatening infection in my entire body and was on 13 antibiotics. This infection also did damage to my tendon. The last surgery removed the artificial knee joint and replaced it with an antibiotic spacer to fight the infection.

I am now in a second rehab facility to regain my strength and learn to re-walk without a knee joint. Medicare is refusing to pay for continued in-facility care. I have filed appeals to Medicare to no avail.
