Help Harry Heal

Donation protected
Monday, June 23rd, Harry was burning some brush in the yard at his friend's Wisconsin cabin. The fire got out of control and his clothing caught on fire. He did what we were all taught in grade school - stop-drop & roll - to put out the fire. A garden hose was close by, as anyone should have when burning brush! He dowsed himself with water, tore off his shirt, and proceeded to try and call a couple neighbors. When he got no answer, he knew he had to act fast, so he jumped in his truck and drove 13 miles to the nearest hospital. There he was close to going into shock. They stabilized him then transferred him by ambulance to Regions Burn Center in St. Paul. We got the call around 9:30 that he was severely burned but since it was after hours, only one person could come in. By that time he was so heavily drugged we couldn't get the whole story.

Harry is going to have a very long recovery. He sustained 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 25% of his body. He'll be at the burn center for at least a month, then he will convalesce at a friends place for another couple weeks. There will be weeks of therapy to regain full function of his right hand and arm. If you know Harry, he's always doing side jobs for extra money. At this time, there's no telling if he will be able to resume a normal life and work as hard as he has in the past. He will need to Uber to therapy sessions, there will be other unknown expenses as well.

I know Harry has a vast community of friends out there. If you know Harry, you immediately love him. We ask for support in whatever matter you can. Leave messages of support and encouragement; visit him in the burn center; offer help when we list his needs; or offer donations to cover lost wages and other expenses (this site says the beneficiary is Susan Timmerman, but rest assured, all funds will go to Harry! He is most fortunate that all medical will be covered by insurance!
