Hi, my name is Sheila, and I’m mum to Harry – my youngest and the only boy in our house.

I am fundraising to cover the cost of Harry’s private Autism and ADHD assessment. In Ireland, the public waiting list is currently up to five years, and as his mum, I can’t wait that long. Harry is already showing behaviours that make me worry, and I know he deserves the best support as soon as possible.

The assessment costs are:

€950 – first stage

€950 – second stage

€500 – final stage

€200 – travel expenses to Dublin for appointments

In total: €2,600

I am the sole carer for my family. Alongside raising Harry and his two sisters, I also care full-time for my mum, who has dementia. I gave up work to look after her, and while I am working hard to build my online personal training business, my time and resources are very limited. Sadly, I cannot get a loan to cover these costs.

This is not easy for me to ask, but I truly have no one else to turn to. Even the smallest donation – €1 or €2 – would mean the world to us. Every bit will bring Harry closer to the answers and support he needs.

As a thank-you, once Harry’s assessments are complete, I will also make donations to Autism and Dementia charities in gratitude for the kindness shown to us.
