Help Harry and His Boys Rebuild After Devastating Floods in Southbury, CT
Yesterday, our brother Harry and his two boys experienced an unimaginable loss during the devastating storms that swept through Southbury, Connecticut. As you may have seen in the news, the storms caused severe flooding throughout the area, leaving many homes and lives in disarray. Unfortunately, Harry’s home was among those hit hardest by the flooding.
The house that Harry was renting for himself and his two boys was flooded with over three feet of water on the first level. The rising water destroyed most of their furniture, appliances, kitchen essentials, tools, generator, electronics and his work van. The floodwaters even reached the second level, ruining their bedroom furniture and some of their clothing. In short, nearly all of their belongings have been destroyed.
To make matters worse, the house has been deemed uninhabitable by the town engineers, and Harry is now without a place to live. This tragic event comes after a challenging year for Harry, who has been dealing with medical setbacks and was just starting to get back on his feet in a new home.
We are reaching out to you, our community, to help Harry and his boys rebuild their lives. They have lost almost everything and are in desperate need of support to find a new place to live and replace essential items. Your generous contributions will go directly towards securing housing, purchasing furniture, clothing, and other necessities to help them start over.
Harry has always been a hardworking and dedicated father, and this situation is one that no one should have to face alone. Any amount you can give will make a significant difference in helping Harry and his boys during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. Together, we can help Harry and his boys rebuild and move forward from this devastating loss.
