Help Harriet Heal

Hello Everyone!

My name is Morgan Momyer. I am here to tell the story of my best friend (Kellie) and the forever giving heart that she has for our four legged fur babies.

She has rescued 3 total dogs in the last 90 days. Just last week, she agreed to foster little Harriet (Pictured above) who was hit by a car and then surrendered to a local animal shelter. Harriet has a broken pelvis, bowel and bladder incontinence (inability to control her bowel and bladder elimination), severe neurological damage in which we are not sure at this point if this will return and if so, in what capacity. Currently, Harriet does not have ANY use of her lower extremities and has to be repositioned every 1-2 hrs as to prevent any further skin breakdown. Due to the extent of her injuries, Harriet has required 24hr care in which Kellie and her husband provide without a second thought.

I have chosen to set up a GoFundMe because the financial cost of helping Harriet has been and will continue to accumulate. Currently, Harriet requires pads, special feeding devices, incontinence supplies, medications, etc. Should the vet believe that Harriet could survive pelvic reconstruction surgery, there will be associated costs with these efforts as well.

In addition, if Harriet regains strength and is able, we are hoping to get Harriet a wheelchair. This will give Harriet the ability to ambulate and have some sense normalcy.

Friends, please consider giving any amount to aid in the rehabilitation of Harriet. We all would love to see Harriet happy, healthy, strong, and able to do basic everyday functions that all dogs should be able to do. Help Kellie give Harriet a second chance at this crazy life.
