Baby Harper’s Story

On July 28th, baby Harper entered the world prematurely after her mother, Kendall, was struck by another driver while on her way to work. Despite her traumatic arrival, Harper fought bravely through a long and challenging stay in the NICU. Her parents, Kendall and Brandon, and her big brother, Casey, were joyful to bring her home after weeks of intensive care.

But shortly after coming home, Harper began struggling with feeds, leading to repeated hospital visits, followed by a lengthy stay in London, and eventually a transfer to Toronto where a specialized team could assess her.

In recent days, Harper’s family has received the unimaginable news that their beloved daughter’s life would be cut short. Her brain is rapidly deteriorating, and they were told she may have only months to a few years at most. Their world has been shattered as they try to navigate a future no parent should ever have to imagine.

We are asking for donations to help this family face the financial burdens that come with this heartbreaking journey (lost wages as they remain at Harper’s side, Harper’s care needs, and with profound sadness, future funeral costs).
