Help Harper Thrive as Her Health Improves
For the past seven years, Tami and Phil had a strong desire to be loving parents and incurred substantial unreimbursed medical costs in order to conceive a child. Their desire to share their love with an infant and to raise and comfort a child throughout his or her life was so intense that they took out substantial loans to pay for pregnancy-related expenses.
Last spring, Tami and Phil were elated when they found out that Tami was finally pregnant. There couldn’t be two happier people on this planet. However, Tami developed serious medical issues late in her pregnancy and, in order to protect both Tami and her baby, the doctors had to perform emergency surgery and deliver the baby nearly one month early. On January 18, 2021, Tami and Phil were truly blessed and welcomed into this world a beautiful baby girl, Harper Alexandria.
Sweet Harper has been spending the early days of her young life in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of a local hospital. Each day, she is showing improvement. Tami and Phil spend most of their waking hours with her in the NICU. While they consider themselves extremely blessed to be the parents of such a wonderful baby, it is extremely difficult for them to leave the hospital each evening without Harper.
Tami and Phil’s unreimbursed medical expenses far exceed those of most young parents. Not that they would have ever chosen any other path. Their family is full of love, hope, and joy. But soon they will face additional increased medical costs that many of us are fortunate enough not to ever experience.
We are requesting your continued love and prayers, as well as whatever financial assistance you can provide to assist Tami and Phil in meeting their medical expenses. Your donations will help defray costs that these loving parents incurred prior to Harper’s delivery, as well as the substantial medical expenses that they will face as a result of Harper’s prolonged hospitalization. Any donations that are made in excess of these unreimbursed medical expenses will be placed an account to support Harper’s education.
Words cannot express how much Tami, Phil, and Harper appreciate your love and support.
