Our nephew, Harper was born with a hole in his heart and a valve that did not fully form. At just one month old, he underwent heart surgery at UAB. When complications continued, Harper was transferred to Texas Children’s Hospital in early December 2025, where doctors successfully performed an additional surgery on his heart and trachea. Harper was recovering from his second heart surgery when some digestive complications arose. They will still be in Texas until the team there can determine the cause. They have had several tests and scans done but no answers yet.

While those surgeries went well and Harper is healing, he remains in the ICU as doctors work to address ongoing issues.

As you can imagine, medical expenses have already exceeded $100,000, and the journey is far from over. We appreciate any support and prayers you can give to our sweet nephew and his parents during this time. Both Dalton and Lauren have had to navigate being states away from family, finding time to work remotely, and caring for their son; we pray for answered questions and healing during their stay at Texas Children's Hospital.
