Help Harold & Loretta Smedley Rebuild After Devastating House Fire

Early Monday June 28th, tragedy struck when my grandparents’ home was completely destroyed in a sudden and devastating fire. Thankfully, they made it out alive. Unfortunately, Harold sustained 2nd degree burns on his legs, feet, face, and arms. He has been transported to Louisville’s trauma and burn unit for further care.

They lost everything: their home, belongings, and a lifetime of memories.These are two of the kindest, most selfless people I know—always the first to help others, and now they’re the ones in need. The road ahead will be long and difficult as they begin to rebuild from nothing.
