Living in California, the cost of dental and orthodontic care is incredibly high, making it hard to get even the most basic treatment that insurance should cover. For me, this has meant putting off care for my teeth as they gradually became crooked at the bottom. While some might assume it's just about appearance, the reality is that the discomfort and unfamiliar feeling of my teeth shifting has been difficult to deal with. I've never had crooked teeth before, so this change has affected my confidence and made me worry about my health if things get worse.

Getting support through this fundraiser would mean so much to me. It would allow me to get braces and return to feeling comfortable and healthy every day. More than that, it would help me feel confident enough to go out, be around my peers, and truly be present without feeling self-conscious or judged.
