My name is Harmony Martinez, I'm 12 years old, with a 4.0 GPA and recently got accepted  to my schools National Honors Junior Society (NHJS). I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with my Parents, Siblings, Grandparents, and Uncle's family of 4. Money has never really been a problem, we always figured out how to make things work.
     A few weeks ago, my teachers informed us that there would be a chance for 7th and 8th grade students to go on a trip to Washington D.C. & New York City, next year. On that trip we would be visiting the White House (picture stop), Capital Hill, Time Square, The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, and go see a Broadway Show.
     I was so excited when I heard this, my parents and I looked into the information a little further and realized that there would be a trip fee of $3,000. All I could think about was that going on a trip like that would have been a dream come true.
     We tried to do little things to raise the money like selling cookies, we didn't raise much, and I was starting to lose hope. My mom finally mentioned that I could create a gofundme to raise the money, I need.
      Although, I hope that I can raise all the money that I need on this gofundme, every dollar counts and is a step closer to my goal. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate it.
