Harlyn, is the 22 month old daughter of Kayla Barter (of Miramichi, NB) and Neil Cooling (of Campbellton, NB). She was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta, alongside her 6 year old sister, Kashtyn.

Harlyn was recently airlifted from Grande Prairie, to The Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, AB, after a sudden onset of illness. Once admitted to The Stollery Children’s Hospital, it was confirmed after a bone marrow test that Harlyn, has Leukaemia.

Harlyns parents and loved ones are devastated about the new diagnosis but are hopeful as she is a strong and brave little girl. Harlyn has already had one surgery to insert a port and has began receiving chemotherapy treatments.

Harlyns treatments have to be done in Edmonton at The Stollery Children’s Hospital, which is a 5 hour commute from her home in Grande Prairie. I ask that we please come together and give Harlyn and her family as much support as we can during this very difficult time. Any donations would be very much appreciated to cover traveling expenses and other costs that will keep Harlyns family by her side. Kayla and Harlyn will be temporarily relocating to Edmonton during her first 8 months of treatment or more, if needed. Please say a prayer for this little girl and her loved ones as her long journey begins.
