Help Harley Overcome Seizures and Surgery
Donativo protegido
please consider donating. She has an upcoming test which includes a 7 day hospital stay.
Our adult daughter (28) has suffered from epilepsy since the age of 15 months and continues to battle daily.
Harley had been diagnosed with complex partial seizures due to a head injury from falling into the corner of a coffee table, which required stitches. At the age of 5, she became seizure-free! She was extremely busy in her daily life with dance classes, tumbling, cheerleading, choir, marching band (The "Pride" of West Virginia), and lacrosse.
At the age of 11, she had her first Grand Mal Seizure, which changed all of our lives daily. Harley continued to be very active, never missing school, hanging with her friends, maintaining a 3.0 GPA, receiving her driver's license, and loving her family and pets.
She entered college, and on her way home after class, she was rear-ended by a large pickup truck that totaled her car. Four months later, Harley was out with a friend and was T-boned! Then she was presented with complex partial seizures once again.
Now, 9 years later, the complex partial seizures and three different medications are not controlled. She has the "staring seizure" almost daily, and some contain clusters lasting over 30 minutes. So, at the present time, Harley is in the final testing stages to have an SEEG, which will lead to epileptic surgery (brain surgery) to help eliminate the seizures.
Harley currently cannot drive, so she has to work from home. She has used up all of her vacation time, personal time, and sick time.
With your support, Harley will be able to maintain her personal debt, medical bills, and fees incurred by hospital stays and surgery.
Please give what you can, pray for her daily, and with God's good grace, she will be blessed with your generous donation.
Thank you,
The Family of Harley
