Those of you who know Harley, know that he has a heart made of gold and that our parents would be proud of the man he is today. He's my baby brother and it's hard for me to even think about what the outcome could have been from his accident.

Which is why it's devastating to learn he was in a rollover accident and then suffered dangerously high CO2 levels after receiving anesthesia.

With both our parents dead, I was praying he'd survive; as was all his family.

He did! But it's not without cost.

Harley needs a BiPAP machine while sleeping (he's wearing a normal oxygen mask in the photo and it is not the BiPAP) in order to help maintain his oxygen and CO2 levels during sleep.

He's been in the ICU for almost a week, not due to the rollover accident he was in, but because of the oxygen levels and issues.

Thankfully, today, they got him in a general room out of ICU. However, he still hasn't been released because the hospital doesn't want to release him without a BiPAP machine---and his insurance barely covers the cost.

The hospital offers a rental, but even then, the initial cost is $2k and then $200 a month after that---

I'm trying to get more information from the hospital why that initial cost is so high! We're hoping Harley misunderstood and that 2k is a direct cost to own--- and not on top of that $200 a month.

He does know the bipap is going to require more maintenance than a traditional c-pap.

So, hopefully we're going to find out the cost is lower and not higher......

I digress!

This is something Harley hasn't planned for, nor is prepared to pay, as he will be out of work for a foreseeable future.

See, Harley works as a caregiver. Right now, his arm has been dislocated and fractured and has wounds because it was outside of the car when it rolled. So, he knows he will be without work.

Just as, he and his wife are without a car until they can find a solution.

As they navigate this, financial burdens should be the least of their worries. Harley deserves a BiPAP and to be able to live and breathe while he sleeps. His sleep apnea is so severe that this is a wake-up call for anyone who loves him.

We're hoping to raise funds for them to get the bi-pap, get some reliable transportation, and anything that could potentially help their bills during this time.
